Emulator

Emulators are programs developed by hackers to simulate a game console, for example Nintendo Ds and Gameboy Advanve which are the most popular. There is a huge list of games available for these emulators online, and they work the best too.

Roms

Files that emulators can read and process, in other words they are games to play in an emulator.

P2P

Peer to program, in other words these are filesharing programs, for example Emule and Ares Galaxy.

Bittorrent

Bittorrent can be the program you use to share bittorrend files bittorent files are files posted on the internet that can be downloaded using a bittorrent handler. I am not sure of the reason why it has been named like that.

Handler

Program than can manage to processes or download certain type of files.

Firewall

Computers defensive system that defends it from attacks on the network, from hackers or anyother type of viruses, spyware or adware. A firewall can be an antivirus firewall or a personal computer firewall, like the windows firewall. As far as i know there cant me more that one firewall turned on.

URL

The websites information that can be processed by a browser (e.g. internet explorer, safari, e.t.c.) and example of a URL is http://www.youtube.com/

HTML

Encoded information.

Formats or Extensions

Formats tell wat the file is, they normally appear at the end of the files name but sometimes they dont appear at all but when you check the properties of a file you will see what format it is, for example if its and audio file it can be .mp3 or .wmv, a video file can be .avi or .3gp e.t.c.

Converter

A converter is program that changes a files format to another format, without changing anything else of the file except the name.

Codecs

Filter that are installed in the system so that programs can execute and read certain files, mainly video and audio. An example of a codec is ACfilter.

You can get your torrents from My Bit Torrent, or you can use other torrent sites which you prefer. All you have to do whilst using Bittorrent programs is download the torrent and you default bittorrent download manager will try to download the file from the sources available, this way to download files is not that usefull due to its speed. Even thought you can use the programs i mentioned above to handle these torrents, your default p2p filesharing (e.g. Ares Galaxy, Shareaza, e.t.c.) program can still handle bittorrents.
